Holiday Gift Bundles in One Link: Sell the Whole Gift Set

In December most shoppers are working through a list of names. If you package the decision for them (this gift, this price, one button), they can cross a name off without learning your catalogue first.

Gift buyers shop differently

Your regular customers know your catalogue. A gift buyer probably arrived from a link in a group chat, doesn't know your sizing and has several more presents to sort out tonight. Every question you ask them, whether it's which variant, which add-on or which code, is another reason to give up and buy a gift card somewhere else.

What helps this shopper most is a set someone has already chosen, already discounted and already in the cart.

How a bundle link works

A bundle cart link puts several products, say the main item, an accessory and a refill, into one URL with bundle pricing. In Cart Rocket you select the items, choose Create bundle, name it and set its price, and the shopper sees one bundle line in the cart. Opening the link puts the whole set in the cart with the discount applied, and you don't need a bundle landing page or new theme sections in the busiest month of the year.

If the set includes something that comes in sizes or colours, turn on the options page before checkout and tick "Let shoppers choose size/colour" on those products. The shopper sees the set in your theme, picks the variant, and the discount follows whichever one they choose. That's useful for gift buyers who know the recipient wears a medium but wouldn't know which product page to start from.

"The Starter Set, $79, ships before the 24th" is an easier yes than "browse our collection".

Three bundles worth building

1. The safe gift

Your best-reviewed product plus the thing people usually buy with it, at a round price. Use this link in gift guides, "gifts under $50" emails and your December Meta prospecting campaign.

2. The upgrade bundle

The main product, a premium accessory and a small consumable, priced so the set is a clear step up from the main product alone. Put the line-item discount on the accessory so it feels close to free, and keep the main product at its normal price.

3. The last-minute set

Whatever you can actually ship in time, bundled with a printable gift note. Schedule this preset to go live the week before Christmas and point your final SMS at it.

Where to use the links

In gift guide emails, link each entry to a loaded cart instead of a product page, so the email does the job of the landing page. Creators can share their own gift pick, and if they all promote the same set, creator links give each one a code on that single cart link (?ref=mia) so you can see opens, orders and revenue per creator. A QR code on packaging lets existing customers buy a gift from the box on their counter. For corporate gifting, a bundle link limited to a customer segment, with its own pricing, handles business orders without a separate storefront.

If your first bundle push is Black Friday itself, the Black Friday checkout playbook covers landing modes, per-channel links and what to test before peak week.

Timing the season

Schedule bundle presets in waves: early gifting right after BFCM, the main push in the first two weeks of December, and the last-minute set until your shipping cutoff. In January, duplicate the same bundles, retitle them for people buying for themselves, and reuse them for the New Year sale.
